Another false friend? How do you say “un mobile” in English?
How do you say “des chips” in English?
I wouldn’t know if you’ve mispelt anything. The quote I gave is from Denis Norden on “It’ll Be Alright On The Night” in response to someone who pronounced “grand prix” as “grand pricks”. Sorry for the confusion: it just seemed an appropriate submission at the time.
Thanks for the explanation, Rob (and sorry you had to supply it). Loved it!
The French pronounce better than they spell……
Thanks for liking my blog, Rob.
The French are probably dense as well but I don’t understand your comment.
Did I “miss spell” anything?
